When Is It Time for Memory Care?
It can be difficult to watch a family member struggle with cognitive decline related to Alzheimer’s or dementia, and even more difficult to know when to seek consistent, professional memory care services. As a general rule, however, when cognitive decline is threatening an individual’s safety, it is time for memory care.
Symptoms of dementia are dangerous and can compromise an individual’s ability to live independently. For instance, a family member may forget to take their medications as prescribed or forget to pay the electricity bill. They may also experience balance problems or instances of wandering. If you are noticing any of these symptoms, intervention is necessary.
