Creation Story<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One the first day, God created the cow. God said, \u201dYou must go to the field with the farmer all day long, suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer I will give you a life span of sixty years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cow said,\u201d That\u2019s a kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty and I\u2019ll give back the other forty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And God agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One the second day, God created the dog, God said, \u201csit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dog said, \u201cThat\u2019s too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I\u2019ll give you back the other ten.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So God agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the third day, God created the monkey. God said, \u201cEntertain people, do tricks and make them laugh. I\u2019ll give you a twenty-year life span.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The monkey said, \u201cMonkey tricks for twenty years? I don\u2019t think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that\u2019s what I\u2019ll do too, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And God agreed again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the fourth day God created man. God said, \u201cEat, sleep, play, have sex, enjoy. Do nothing just enjoy, enjoy. I\u2019ll give you twenty years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man said, \u201cWhat? Only twenty years? No way man. Tell you what, I\u2019ll take my twenty, and the forty the cow gave back, and then the ten the dog gave back and then the ten the monkey gave back. That makes eighty, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOkay,\u201d said God. \u201cYou\u2019ve got a deal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So that is why for the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, have sex, enjoy and do nothing; for the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family; for the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain our grandchildren; and for the last ten years we sit in front of the house and bark at everybody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope you find some laughter today to lighten your heart and crank that smile that I know is in there. May you be held by the light today in all you do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
