I invite you to pause for a moment to breathe and center yourself in this moment here and now. Letting go of the days of this week past and, for the time being, suspending thoughts about the tasks to do and needs to attend to today and the days to come.

Remember again for a moment that you are enough and reflect upon the gift that is the life within you,
breathing and pulsing beyond the thoughts, like the blue sky when the clouds part.

Stay in that awareness for as long as you are able,
And when you are ready, read this mantra for the care team:

In all that we do today, through every encounter,
with residents, with family members, with staff,
with each other, and with ourselves,
may we be guided by wisdom and compassion.

And receive this blessing from Chaplain John Ehman:

Blessings upon your hands,
and their healing touch, sensitive even through protective gloves;
Blessings upon your eyes,
as you see through shields and goggles, never looking away;
Blessings upon your feet,
as you move from need to need, hour after hour;
Blessings upon your mind,
focused even when heavy and pushed by immense complexities;
Blessings upon your heart,
as you feel for your patients and their families, and your own;
Blessings upon you,
for you are a blessing. Amen.

Thank you all for being here. May you all be well and supported.

And may the blessing of God or all that sustains you, keep you safe, grant you peace and fill you with all that you need, just for today. Amen
