It is an exciting time for our residents and staff here at Havenwood Heritage Heights. We are proud to announce that our organization has received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF accreditation is given every five years, and Havenwood Heritage Heights has once again successfully received this distinction.
CARF is the only organization that is an accreditor for continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) in the United States. To receive accreditation, a retirement community has to demonstrate to CARF that all of its programs and services meet or exceed CARF’s strict and rigorous international standards.
CARF performs an internal examination of the CCRC, evaluating its business practices and programming. An on-site survey is also conducted by a team of CARF-selected practitioners who determine whether or not standards have been met or exceeded.
Once the examination is over, CARF will submit a report detailing the CCRC’s strengths and areas of improvement. At that time, CCRCs are either given accreditation or are given a list of improvements that must be made in order to receive accreditation. In the case of Havenwood Heritage Heights, we were given accreditation after the examination.
When a CCRC has obtained CARF accreditation, it means that the staff is prepared to offer greater levels of quality and service. Currently, there are about 2,000 CCRCs in operation in the United States. Out of this group, only 261 are CARF accredited. With Havenwood Heritage Heights being one of those few who has received accreditation, our residents and prospective residents have the peace of mind that our programs and business practices are tailored to provide the utmost comfort and care.
We have seen an amazing effort on behalf of the Havenwood Heritage Heights staff. Our team has shown great commitment and dedication in order to meet the high-quality standards that are set forth by CARF.
With CARF accreditation, we can show to our residents, and to our neighboring communities, that we are dedicated to providing the best resources and services for our residents and their families. In addition, here at Havenwood Heritage Heights, we will continue to strive for the highest levels of service, again and again, to make our continuing care retirement community comfortable, fun, and caring for everyone.
