Letter from the Administrator

Dear HSC Residents & Families,

I hope this letter finds you well and brings to you some peace of mind as we endure this pandemic. We at Havenwood Heritage Heights have been diligently adjusting our course of action to reduce the risk of transmission on our campus. Together we will win the battle on COVID-19, so I ask that you do not lose faith or patience. Endurance will be key as we continue to practice social distancing, good hand hygiene, and avoid gatherings.

I want to remind you of the measures that we have taken in our center to protect your loved one(s), our staff and our community:

• Visitors have been restricted with exceptions only to end of life care.
• All individuals are screened in accordance to state and federal guidelines prior to entering patient care areas.
• All residents are screened twice a day including vital signs and respiratory assessment by licensed staff.
• Employees and contracted service providers have been limited to essential personnel only.
• Consistent staff is assigned to care units.
• Communal dining programs have been suspended.
• Activities have been limited to either 1-1 activities and/or others that adhere to social distancing guidelines.
• Public and patient care areas are disinfected with approved EPA disinfectant.
• Leadership is working closely with local, state and federal agencies for the most up-to-date health advisory information and guidance.
• Secure and private conference line has been established to allow all family members to participate in care conferences (Admission, Discharge Planning, and Routine)
• Masks to be worn by all staff.

We recognize the emotional toll that this event is causing not only you, but your loved one(s). The physical and mental health of our residents is of the utmost importance to us. This is why we have taken proactive and comprehensive measures to ensure your loved one(s) has access to a healthcare provider during this time.

• APRN in the center Monday-Friday
• Telehealth services available from Providers
• Weekly visits from our Medical Director, Dr. Pollak; with 24/7 accessibility.
• On call physician service 24/7
• Face Time, Skype video call service available.

What we need from you:

Your support, prayers and words of encouragement have given everyone at Havenwood Heritage Heights strength to press on. Social distancing does mean that we are apart but gives the opportunity to connect in ways that may have been overlooked:

• Write a postcard and/or letter to your loved one(s).
• Write a postcard to our staff.
• Take advantage of the Face Time, Skype video calls
• Continue to practice social distancing and proper hand hygiene.

Thank you all for your cooperation and understanding during this time. Our staff continues to be honored to have your trust in caring for your loved one. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions at (603)229-1194 or Sweaver@hhhinfo.org
