Good Morning All,

A few weeks ago Lucy Davison called in to our sing along hour on channel 919 and requested, “Walk On.” I didn’t know the song so she sang a few lines. I still didn’t know it, but I said I will learn it, Lucy. And I did. I think it was two weeks later I played the song for the residents. And since then it has seeped into my heart and mind and this morning I as I was getting ready to come here, it was stuck in my head.

So I listened to it as I drove here and it brought tears to my eyes. I want to share with you the words for today’s reflection and last night I saw that there was a new version of this song on YouTube, sung by a virtual choir. I invite you to, when you have the opportunity, take the three minutes to listen.

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, friends. This is hard. But know that you are not walking alone and may the blessing of God or all that sustains you, keep you safe, grant you peace and fill you with all that you need, just for today. Amen
